Durham University
The universities of Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside are all important stakeholders in NETPark. All are within 30 minutes drive of NETPark and all are represented on the NETPark Advisory Group at Vice-Chancellor level.
Durham University is a world-class university in two locations: in the city of Durham and at its Queen's Campus in Stockton. In both locations the University is engaged in:
- high-quality teaching and learning
- advanced research and partnership with business
- regional and community partnerships and initiatives
- services for conferences, events and visitor accommodation.
Like County Durham Development Company and CPI, Durham University as represented by the NETPark Research Institute, is a signatory to the 2009 Memorandum of Understanding.
The involvement of the University harnesses its highly rated research capabilities in the sciences most relevant to NETPark such as physics, chemistry and maths, together with its enormous international reputation.
